As a church leader and an entrepreneur, Jonathan loves giving back by helping leaders build teams and break through personal and organizational growth barriers.  With a strong focus on innovation and constant learning, Jonathan passionately harnesses culture and technology to reach people for good.  Jonathan lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, with his spicy Latina wife Karla, and absolutely loves spending time with her and his 3 little ones.  After moving to help churches in Central America for three years and running a professional media and design business as a self-supporting missionary, Jonathan returned to the States with his family to plant a new mission church called the Bridge.  The Bridge has a strong focus on innovation, building genuine and real friendships, and authentically living out the strong love that Jesus had for people.  Planted in August of 2012, the Bridge has grown and became successfully self-supporting as of August of 2015.  Simultaneously, Jonathan is focused on creating new ways to help churches reach people through branding, design, graphics, marketing, video, and other media.

Together with his best friend, John Markowski, they lead the branding and design studio Fallingscalesmedia, which helps churches use modern media to capture hearts and minds and move forward in their mission for God.

Fallingscalesmedia successfully released the acclaimed app for children, Noah 360, into the iPad app store, which has earned a five-star rating.  Between eating sushi or enjoying a nice cup of coffee, Jonathan loves trying new things. Not all of them work, but they provide great opportunities to learn and to laugh.

Stephen Staten

Renassiance Thinkers

Steve’s early professional life spans nine years in engineering, where he worked with high energy, sound, radar and computer design. Then he and his wife Tricia acquired over twenty-five years of experience in church leadership, overseeing staff education, pastoring and managing conflict. Over the last few years Steve has successfully worked with single and multisite churches of 250 to 6,000 members in Hawaii, California, Florida, the UK and the Midwest. So whether it is extreme temperatures, high electrical currents or the intensity of human drama, Steve believes it is best to "think in systems". He is currently writing a book on the thesis that since the 1940s we have entered another Renaissance giving open organizations advantages for triumphantly crossing vistas that were previously believed to be unimaginable.
